Join our expanding Platform Services team in Central Europe
Do you want to shape the future of IT operations monitoring at Aeven?
We are looking for a SolarWinds Engineer to join our growing team in Central Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing our monitoring platform to ensure high availability, stability, and performance of IT services across networks, databases, operating systems, and cloud platforms.
You will also play a key role in Automation, ITSM/ServiceNow integrations, and Cloud observability, helping Aeven’s customers deliver reliable and innovative IT services to our global clients.
Based in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, or Budapest, you’ll work standard business hours with occasional flexibility for patch service windows and on-call rotations. We offer a hybrid work model, allowing you to combine remote work with time in one of our modern office locations.
You responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and enhance the SolarWinds/observability platform and related modules.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage for networks, databases, operating systems, and applications.
- Implement and improve ServiceNow/ITSM integrations for incident and event workflows.
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, or similar) to optimize configuration, alerting, and workflows.
- Expand monitoring into cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and support hybrid platforms.
- Collaborate closely with network, system, and database teams to deliver proactive monitoring solutions.
- Document processes, create runbooks, and share knowledge with colleagues across teams.
Your qualifications and experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with the SolarWinds platform (NPM, NCM, SAM, DPA, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of monitoring network devices, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and databases (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with ServiceNow integration and ITSM processes.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud observability (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch).
- Understanding of SNMP, WMI, APIs, and event management concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in an international environment.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
