Medical Director/Senior Medical Director - Unique Human Capital

As a Medical Director at LEO Pharma, you will lead clinical development projects by providing expert medical and scientific guidance. The role will shape development plans and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure impactful, high-quality outcomes.

With direct report to Head of Medical Department.

Your main tasks include:

• Clinical Development Plans: Design, develop, and oversee clinical trials, ensuring they are scientifically and ethically sound while overseeing medical monitoring and supporting regulatory submissions
• Scientific & Medical Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert in dermatology, staying current on scientific literature, treatment guidelines, and the competitive landscape to provide informed medical and scientific advice
• Cross-Functional Support: Partner with internal stakeholders by providing scientific support, training staff, and maintaining expertise within the therapeutic area
• Regulatory & Documentation: Support preparation of clinical trial protocols, informed consent forms, and applications for authorities, and participate in regulatory interactions such as IND submissions and meetings
• Medical Insights & Evidence Generation: Capture insights from clinical practice, support real-world evidence initiatives, and bring external perspectives back into the organisation to shape strategy

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in clinical trial methodology, GCP, drug development, regulatory interactions, and clinical trial documentation, along with knowledge of legal requirements for clinical research. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate excellent scientific writing skills, along with effective collaboration and communication abilities across different functions.

You have a master’s degree in medicine (MD) and a scientific degree (PhD or similar). Clinical experience in dermatology is a benefit.

You are a person who is highly energised and organised, and able to communicate clearly and engagingly. You have a strong understanding of stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation. You excel in both written and verbal communication and serve as a subject matter expert.
