IAM Infrastructure Engineer (NetIQ)

Role Summary:
The IAM Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the underlying infrastructure supporting the NetIQ Identity Manager IDM platform. This includes servers, integrations with Active Directory, databases, patching, backups, and secure connectivity across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and optimize NetIQ IDM infrastructure (servers, OS, databases).
• Manage integration with target systems (Active Directory, SAP, other apps).
• Implement security patches and coordinate system upgrades.
• Perform log analysis and SIEM integration (e.g., for Sentinel).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Work with the Cybersecurity Operations team to implement best practices in network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and vulnerability remediation.
• Document architecture and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure compliance with policies and audits.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience with enterprise IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux, AD, virtualization).
• Hands-on experience managing NetIQ IDM infrastructure (e.g., eDirectory, Identity Vault, driver framework, vault replication).
• Hands-on experience with installation & configuration of NetIQ Identity Manager & Identity Governance.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Familiar with network and identity security principles (TLS, SAML, OAuth, firewalls, proxy)
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation, NetIQ Identity Manager Business Administrator (preferred), MS/Azure Admin or security certs (advantage)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes like Incident, Service request and Change management.
