We are seeking an enthousiastic ServiceNow Catalog Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will manage and optimize the Service Catalog on the ServiceNow platform, focusing on integrating and aligning catalog items with the new business needs. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the user experience and ensuring the catalog supports our evolving business structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the ServiceNow Catalog, ensuring it remains current, relevant, and aligned with the evolving business landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including those from the acquired entity, to gather requirements and design new catalog items and workflows that meet both legacy and new business needs.
- Best Practices & Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for catalog management, focusing on governance, standardization, and alignment with the newly integrated business processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of the Service Catalog, making data-driven recommendations to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users and team members, ensuring a smooth transition and effective use of the catalog in the new business environment.
- Compliance: Ensure all catalog management activities adhere to ITIL processes and other relevant standards, with a focus on maintaining compliance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all catalog items and related processes.
This position is open to interested candidates with a solid operational or strategic background from an IT Service Management environment. Specific experience in ServiceNow is not required, but the willingness to learn and deep-dive into this topic is considered essential.
Necessary qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience from an ITIL process focused service environment, such as Service Management or Delivery Management, ideally with experience in contributing to transitions or integrations
- Experience with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, ideally in environments undergoing significant change
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex projects during transitional periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in cross-functional and cross-organizational collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with ServiceNow, specifically in Service Catalogue management
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of on-prem, cloud computing, and SaaS environments, with experience in managing service catalogs in these settings.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
