Procurement Manager for our customer in the Pharma Industry
In the job as Procurement Manager you will work in a highly dynamic, project driven work environment where you work closely together with other Procurement Managers, Project Managers, Technical Leads, Suppliers and Customers every day.
Who we are:
Our customer is a pharma engineering company. They execute projects ranging from small development equipment projects, revamp of existing production facilities to large-scale pharmaceutical production plants all over the world. Based in Denmark, you will work in a project-oriented climate supporting primarily projects for customers in Denmark. In Denmark, our customer has offices in Virum and Kalundborg. Typically, you will be working in the same location as your customer(s) and/or project(s). Therefore, it is very important, that you are flexible.
You will join the Procurement & Contract Mgt. dept., consisting a team of 15 highly skilled Senior Procurement Managers, Procurement Controllers and Purchasers. Our customer engage and interact with a variety of stakeholders. Regardless of which of these many stakeholders they face, their ambition is to take a wingman position; providing the stakeholders support in a manner allowing them a feeling of control and support. This requires a proactive mindset, as well as a high level of flexibility.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for drafting procurement strategies and plans, and for planning and executing procurement and contract management activities in our projects (supplier selection, RFQ/RFP & tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contract drafting, etc.).
You will be responsible for aligning project expectations and requirements related to procurement, both internally with Project Managers and other key stakeholders, as well as externally with our Customers.
Lastly, you will be responsible for post-contract-award activities until hand-over, such as progress reporting, following up on milestones and payments, drafting and negotiating change orders, handling commercial aspects of claims, etc.
Your Qulifications:
- 5-8 years of experience within technical purchasing, commercial and contract management disciplines
- Preferably, experience with contracting and project procurement within engineering and/or the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong planning, leading and supervision competencies
- Experience with working in a project organization and in a project environment
- Strong communication skills in both Danish and English
- Professional and structured approach, with a flexible and proactive mindset

There position can be either a permanent position from start or a temporary position for about 12 months (with contract for 2x6 months) - and if you do the job well and the company has an open headcount - it will most likely end up in a permanent position.
Our customer works with consultancy, development, implementation and validation of Automation Solutions for the Pharma and Biotech Industries. The company works in projects and base their solutions on a deep understanding of the customers’ production processes – and if standard components can’t do the job, they develop their own. Our customer master a broad range of process areas within API production e.g. Fermentation, Recovery and Purification, Utility and Cleaning Systems.
