Experienced Software Architect, Lystrup

The TEC C2 Organization
The C2 organization in Lystrup is responsible for our C2-Ground/Air solutions - that provides situational awareness for surveillance, perimeter safety, and combat planning and execution purposes.
The C2 organization counts 100 highly engaged colleagues, we are located at 2 sites; in Søborg and in Lystrup. Within the C2 organization in Lystrup we work in stable, interdisciplinary, and self-managed product/project teams based on agile principles from Scrum.

The role and your most important tasks
As Software Architect, you will work together with other members in the Architect Team. You will have the technical responsibility for the architectural design of our mission-critical applications, considering all aspects related to the software development including performance, reliability, modularity, and maintainability. You will report directly to the Senior Director of the C2 organization in Lystrup.

Examples of area of responsibility:

• Technical leadership and guidance of teams implementing mission-critical software systems across different applications
• Architectural design and implementation of software following professional, modern software engineering principles
• Taking ownership in strengthening our work methods and improving our development tool chain in close cooperation with C2 Line Management
• Creating technical documentation, including architectural and software design documentation, interface control documents and design justification documentation
• Contributing to ensuring implementation and delivery of software to schedule and required quality

Your experience and education
You have a relevant education, i.e., Bachelor or Master degree in software engineering, computer science, data scientist or similar educations and a proven solid track record as software architect.

Your primary programming language is Java, experience with other object-oriented languages like C++ is a plus. Additionally, you can add a checkmark at some of the following bullets:

• Have experience with design of software solutions through all the steps from requirements, architecture, design, implementation and verification - the latter especially in terms of automated tests
• Are an experienced technical lead with well-developed problem-solving skills
• Are a natural informal leader who can drive teams and individuals to become high performing
• Broad experience in agile development and supporting tools

• You are proactive by nature, e.g., showing the good example making sure to align upfront and that you are not afraid to challenge your colleagues in a respectful manner and to ask the “stupid” questions
• You are enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player and able to work independently
• You enjoy working in a complex and highly specialized environment where you respect the formal working processes while still mastering agile principles
• You can work in an international, multi-cultural team and you are well articulated in writing and speaking, as a minimum in English, preferable also in Danish.
