Whiteaway Group sells and ships household appliances to customers in all of Scandinavia, with an ongoing focus on great customer experiences. It all started as an idea, a fresh approach to the market and a digital mindset. This is still what makes us tick – we are change-makers at heart.
You will join a highly skilled Tech department of 40 people, where you’ll be part of our Platform and Data team. In Tech we are organized in agile, outcome focused, and autonomous product squads. We operate 12 webshops across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden and look to bring the vast amount of data we have to even better use across our entire value chain. You’ll be working with Data Scientists and Engineers, as well as UX, Product Management, and other business stakeholders. Together you’ll mature our data infrastructure and capabilities for data-informed decision making and automation.
The job
- Build and run data pipelines for datasets produced and consumed by our data platform and build tools that helps us make data-informed decisions
- Improve and maintain our existing data platform offering in AWS
- Contribute to modeling, crafting and maintaining data solutions to improve usability and accessibility to data
- Expand and streamline our data infrastructure by securing high quality data ingestion and efficient pipelines
- Work with data scientists and engineers to adapt new data sources quickly and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with data modeling, schema metadata, ETL development, and data storage techniques
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (AWS services such as S3, Glue, ECS, Athena, Lake Formation or Redshift)
- Experience working with Apache Airflow and/or DBT
- Experience working with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Highly experienced in writing efficient code in Python
- Highly experienced in working with SQL based databases
- You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation
We like to think we have quite an amazing workplace, including:
- A dynamic environment with room for your ideas
- Attractive opportunities and professional development for you to shape your own job
- A flat informal organization with a high degree of independence and short decision-making processes
- Attractive settings for the job: flexible work hours, health care, lunch scheme, Friday breakfast, gym, and active staff association
