Unix-Linux Operation Specialist

We are looking for experienced operational specialists that will be part of our Unix-Linux team in Prague along with our global colleagues (Denmark/Philippines), vendors and partners in advising, building, operating and/or supporting our customer’s platform across the globe.
Your responsibilities will encompass the daily operations and maintenance of the Unix/Linux platform, providing support at the 2nd and 3rd levels, which includes patching, participating in service windows, and adhering to ITIL Change management processes. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the Operations Centre and actively participate in the daily and weekend duty rotation.
Your responsibilities
Together with your colleagues, you host a server environment with 2000+ Linux and UNIX servers. You will handle tasks varying from basic ones like user administration and storage management towards server deployments, server configuration for different server roles, cluster management, and even participation in project tasks and automation in due time. Bash scripting is welcome, we are also moving quickly towards Ansible, and Python knowledge is a great plus.
Apart from Event and Incident Management, as our specialist you will also participate in:
- Problem Management
- Troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance

- Patch Management
Our primary operating system is RedHat Enterprise Linux, then we use SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, AIX, Solaris and occasionally HP-UX. Apart from basic server operations, in daily work, we use cluster solutions such as HACMP, Serviceguard, Veritas cluster, and SuSE CRM, for backup Netbackup and Commvault, we host VMs on VMWare and more. It is a requirement that you have profound expertise with Unix and at least one or two of the above-mentioned areas.
Qualifications
You should have several years of experience working with some (the more the better) of the following OS platforms - RedHat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX and related technologies and you have developed a deep understanding of these platforms.
As part of our expectations, we anticipate that you have a solid understanding of the basic ITIL processes, which are fundamental to efficient IT service management.
An IT degree that is directly relevant to the position is a plus, along with extensive knowledge of complex server operations.
You also have:
