The role
The Website Development & Performance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the progression and refining of the effectiveness of our global marketing websites. Together with your team of specialists and external collaborators, your focus will be on refining website processes(from stakeholder ideas to deployment and performance evaluation), improving functionality, and elevating overall performance. Your primary goal is to ensure seamless website operations and optimal user experience by growing development initiatives, streamlining processes, and resolving any performance-related issues, to ensure a best-in-class website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development Leadership: Take charge of prioritizing our backlog and overseeing website development projects, collaborating with stakeholders and IT to enhance both existing and new sites.
  • Performance Enhancement: Implement strategies to boost website performance, encompassing code optimization, media compression, caching, and other enhancements aimed at improving loading speed and responsiveness, therefore driving a better user experience and higher organic ranking.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Utilize advanced tracking tools such as Core Web Vitals, Google Lighthouse, Semrush, and Google Analytics to monitor performance metrics rigorously. Analyze data on page load times, server responses, and overall speed to identify areas for improvement.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate reports on website performance metrics, trends, and improvements. These reports will provide valuable insights for stakeholders and support the decision-making process.
  • Technical Excellence: Together with your technical SEO specialists you will refine technical SEO strategies across all websites, ensuring alignment with broader development goals.
  • Tracking Optimization: Together with your tracking team wok on establishing and maintaining a robust tracking set-up, facilitating continuous improvements in data accuracy and insights. Communicate with stakeholders across the company, to ensure full transparency and alignment on website development plan, SEO initiatives, and tracing roadmap

The ideal profile
As a leader, you excel in applying your technical expertise while actively engaging with and steering a team of specialists and product owners. Advanced communication skills are a must as you navigate collaborations with team members, leadership, and stakeholders across various departments. Your preparedness to move forward and solid commitment to high standards of work enable you to raise the bar for your team and achieve distinguished results. Thriving in diverse, international environments, you understand the importance of local actions within a global context.

That being said, we expect that you:

  • Hold a master's degree in Marketing, Tech, Business, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a team lead, project owner, people manager, operations manager, chief scrum master, or in a similar capacity.
  • Possess previous experience working with IT development and website performance optimization.
  • Are an experienced people manager who has worked at the intersection of business and technology, with solid expertise in website management.
  • Exhibit great people management skills with previous experience with coordinating teams and ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrate solid organizational, structural, and coordination skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Are team-oriented and able to collaborate and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Are fluent in English, both oral and written.
