Your challenges
In VELUX Develop & Optimise, we work hands-on with improving the portfolio of VELUX accessory products mainly consisting of blinds and roller shutters.

You will become an essential part of a great team where collaboration is a central part of everyday life. You will be involved in projects and be responsible for independent tasks, having the courage to work proactively with new ideas and solutions in relation to our project scope.

You are not afraid of making mistakes, but actively use them to learn, whereas you can practice a methodical, structured work approach. Disciplined work according to agreements, documentation standards and robust design are tasks that you handle comfortably.

Your primary tasks will be to:

• Participate in activities and solve tasks in relation to project descriptions.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration between development, production, purchasing and market.
• Optimize and rethink solutions in existing products.
• Translate requirements into innovative solutions through 3D CAD modeling in Creo, mechanical simulation (FEA), prototype manufacturing and testing.
• Work focused on quality, costs, sustainability and risks in connection with development projects.
• Create and maintain product documentation in the Product Lifecycle Management system Windchill.
• Use reviews with colleagues to support and verify design and mechanical construction.
• Share personal contributions with the project group and those in leadership roles.

The internship is paid and will run in the fall semester of 2024 for 5-6 months, taking place in Skjern.

Your qualifications
Your positive drive to make things happen, being a good colleague and working proactively and committed to deliver results that will support the team and the organization, will secure your growth in this position.

You are currently enrolled in a related Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s study in a relevant field.

We imagine that you:

• Have knowledge of 3D CAD modelling, but experience with the programs Creo and Windchill are not a requirement.
• Are fluent in written and spoken English since it is the language of the company, but fluency in Danish is advantageous.
• Have a product development and project work interest.
