About the role
In this role, you will provide process engineering technical leadership, primarily designs, and specify new equipment as well as provide engineering technical support for all cell culture, purification, pharmaceutical processing equipment and plant utilities.

You will be a subject matter expert (SME) in technology transfer of new products and processes. You will lead continuous improvement and equipment and facility performance optimization efforts and provide technical engineering expertise for new processing equipment installations and modifications to existing equipment.

You will join an organization focusing on growth, a steep learning curve and most importantly a focus on people and what you can bring to the table.

Some of your tasks will be but not limited to:

  • Execute and manage assessments and Feasibility Studies for prospective new and expanded capabilities for equipment, manufacturing, and other requirements. These cover bulk Drug Substance, and support facilities.
  • Accurately analyse and provide engineering technical input to the tech transfer process for new programs in the drug substance manufacturing facility. This position is required to develop initial facility fit assessment for new programs to existing manufacturing capabilities and identify any gaps. Identify, propose, and discuss optional gap resolution, in close collaboration with clients and providing subsequent support to its implementation.

Education and competences
We expect you to have excellent communication skills (writing and verbally). You are used to routinely communicating timely updates on daily activities. You are used to lead group meetings, including cross functional groups and external partners and organisation.

Moreover, we expect that:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical engineering or similar industry.
  • We expect you to have a BS/MS Degree in Engineering preferably with related industry experience or training.
  • You work independently towards the goals and objectives of the Engineering Science group.
  • You are used to providing expertise and advice to guide the activities of a project or activity. Ability to represent group or company with external partners or organisations.
  • You are well versed in interacting with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between Organizational Units
  • You work well in function or cross-function teams in providing oversight and guidance.
  • You are used to providing findings and data to senior management.

You will be part of a cross site team of 7 highly skilled Process Engineers that provides engineering technical leadership on the site.
