About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled Senior Accountant, to join our Finance team in Luxembourg, reporting to the Head of Accounting. In this role you will get the chance to work with Reporting and Operation department. You will be responsible in preparation periodic financial reporting, consolidation of accounts, daily bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
What you will be doing
- Support with month-end closing tasks
- Review invoices and payment runs
- Create budgets and forecasts
- Handle corporate tax and VAT
- Assist with external and internal audits
- Continuous improvement of procedures
What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have min 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the banking/financial services industry, together with holding a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance or equivalent. You have Experience with IFRS and LUX GAAP frameworks and best practices. You are also in possession of advanced capabilities in systems like MSBC/Navision and the Microsoft Office package and have a basic understanding of Tableau and SQL.
As a person you are proactive, organized and solution oriented. You aim to be part of a dynamic team where interaction and collaboration are presents. Good written communication skills and a team player attitude is considered as key. Possession of strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to identify ways to improve efficiency are likewise highly valued qualifications for this role.
Additionally, a flexibility in attitude and working hours is necessary for this position due to a fast-paced working environment with a high rate of changes.
As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset.
The position will be based at Banking Circle’s Headquarters in Luxembourg.
