Firmware and Software Developer | OnRobot

Do you want to take on the challenge of working with innovative products in collaborative robot space? Are you an experienced robot integrator and have the passion to accomplish creative tasks in a team? Then you might be our new Firmware and Software C++ developer in OnRobot R&D!

We are looking for a colleague in a dynamic, Danish-owned, R&D and manufacturing company in the robotics area, with an entrepreneurial mindset and solid engineering background, to the position of Firmware and Software C++ developer.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing firmware and interface software in C/C++ for OnRobot tools and related systems
• Accountable for the firmware development life cycle including feature discussion, analysis, releasing new firmware to production and maintenance of OnRobot’s production tool.
• Develop and execute software test cases (unit test) and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow the development methods and processes defined and used (e.g., version control and documentation)
• Team working in an international development organization.
• Supporting colleagues in the relevant competence areas
  

Qualifications and skills:

• Proven track record as a Firmware developer for 3+ years (C++, CMake, Python)
• Proficient in embedded systems and microcontroller programming, with specific expertise in STM32 FreeRTOS, and control of mechanical systems (motor control, PID control)
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus)
• Excellent object-oriented programming capability and be able to deliver high-quality, high-performance code.
• Experience working with software tools (Jira, git etc.) and methodologies (CI/CD, Scrum)
• Good English skills
• BSc/MSc degree in engineering or informatics or equivalent
