At the VELUX Group we want to give homeowners an exceptional customer experience across our regions and markets, and we want to support them from start to finish in realizing their dream roof window project. Joining our newly established and strategically important department, Global Consumer Services (GCS), you will join a motivated, skilled and diverse team focusing on building, shaping and integrating our new global consumer service approach in the VELUX Group with the purpose of bringing us even closer to our customers.

Your challenges

For our development team in GCS, we are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager to ensure that our digital product development projects are implemented, progressing and coordinated according to the overall scope of the GCS strategy. We are a bunch of customer-centric specialists committed to developing and optimizing the best-in-class customer experience for the homeowner segment. As our Senior Digital Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate a portfolio of digital product development projects, and you will be responsible for ensuring that our development projects run according to plan and in alignment with the strategy, the long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products and the relevant commercial considerations.

More specifically, you will:

• Facilitate ideation/planning/other workshops with stakeholders across VELUX
• Create development roadmaps and go-live roadmaps
• Facilitate the planning process before development and make project plans, incl. timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments
• Create a timeline for development including all related tasks for e.g. UX/UI/Architects/QA
• Set the right team for development in collaboration with IT
• Work closely with IT on a daily basis and ensure alignment on priorities
• Work closely with Product owners to ensure the digital product is clearly scoped and user stories are clearly written
• Uncover and manage the interdependencies of digital development projects, and ensure that project scopes and budgets are aligned and continuously monitored
• Utilize your profound digital expertise to spot strategic and commercial opportunities
• Create, prioritize and align on the strategic product roadmaps with other departments in Global Consumer Services

Your qualifications

We will come to know you as a structured and proactive Project Manager, who takes ownership of your work and are able to maintain a high-level overview of multiple development projects at a time and ensure progression and coherence to the overall strategic direction. You have solid planning skills and take pride in meeting your deadlines. You possess a great desire to deliver high quality, customer-focused digital products and you are commercially oriented with a comprehensive technical insight and preferably innovative and strategic mindset.

You feel comfortable in an outgoing and networking role with a large stakeholder base, and you are a proficient communicator with natural skills of building working relationships which enables you to work across the organization and enhance cross-functional collaboration. You have a good sense of who to involve, when and how during the planning, design and development phase respectively, and you are able to clearly present and communicate the plan and brief the team.

Moreover, you:

• Bring several years of experience from a similar role of managing multiple, high-complexity digital product development projects at a time. Of course in close collaboration with a Product Owner.
• Have a deep, comprehensive technical insight in the disciplines and tools of digital product development enabling you to understand requirements, interdependencies and potential challenges of these types of projects as well as to understand your stakeholders
• Are proficient in the disciplines of project management, incl. planning, budgeting, risk assessment, progress tracking, prioritization of activities and optimization of cost-effectiveness
• Have a relevant educational background, probably with digital/IT technical focus coupled with a commercial perspective
• Might have worked at a digital agency overseeing digital projects
• Are proficient in English – verbally and in writing
