Let’s talk about the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Network Operations Center Engineer to join our newly established international team responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing Novo Nordisk’s global network infrastructure. As a Network Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Novo Nordisk’s global network environment.

Your key tasks include:

• Helping to build and mature the new internal capability for Network Operations along with creating, contributing, and maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures
• Monitoring and analysing network performance, identifying, and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure optimal network functionality
• Responding to alerts, incidents, and requests in a timely manner, following established procedures and protocols
• Collaborating with other IT teams, including Network Architects, Systems Engineers, and Security Analysts, to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems
• Configuring, installing, and maintaining network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Participating in capacity planning and network design discussions to ensure scalability and reliability of the network infrastructure

We hope to see
To be a strong candidate for this position, we have an idea that you will possess many to most of these:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience
• At least 2-3 years of proven experience in network operations and engineering with a strong understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), routing and switching in a mostly Cisco and Palo Alto environment
• It is mandatory to have knowledge in Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) center solution and/or Software Defined Access (SDA)
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SolarWinds, SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark)
• Familiarity with security protocols and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong background in scripting, automation (e.g., Python)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, ITIL) preferred, but not mandatory
