We are looking for a development manager ready to drive change and delivery
We are looking for an ambitious, self-propelled, structured and engaged leader with a solid leadership background, a tech mindset and desire to lead a cross-functional team across Poland and Denmark. If you have prior experience in modernization of complex platforms it will big a plus.
You become part of the Core Banking domain and it’s leadership team in the role as development manager to work on the modernisation journey of the domain, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. We have a new target architecture on parts of our platforms, but we are about to work out the plans for the rest. This requires flexibility and an open mind to you and your team.
You will be leading up to 10 professionals across Denmark and Poland while also assuming the system and delivery ownership of the team.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
As a development manager you will be accountable for the team regarding efficient delivery, system operability and compliancy, people management and driving the transformation of the Core Banking.
This is something you will achieve in close collaboration with the product owner of the team and with the support of the leadership team of the domain, consisting of development managers, release train engineer, product manager and domain architect.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Accountable for delivering team contribution of domain roadmap according to agreed objectives
- Set up and maintain delivery strategy and team organization to effectively deliver on team backlog
- Organize and manage performance of people, processes, and technology to deliver on team backlog with clear roles, responsibilities, and processes across the value chain
- Develop and drive a culture of cross functional collaboration and coordination
- Ensure development meets architectural principles and guidelines
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of all systems/platforms in own team (System Ownership), including incident and problem management, system lifecycle management etc.
- Responsible for “housekeeping functions” in team, e.g. compliance for audits, patches, technical vulnerabilities, exceptions etc.
- Ensure team has necessary budget, resources, approvals, and other support
- Communicate with key stakeholders and collect and share feedback
- Ensure transparency on decisions, progress, and results

The ideal candidate has:
- Educational background as computer scientist, engineer or similar on bachelor or master level
- 4-8 years of IT experience and 5+ years of IT leadership experience (Line management is

- Experience with multicultural teams and organizations
- Experience in platform modernization (ideally from mainframe to 3rd party decentral, standard platforms)
- A good understanding of the industry would be beneficial
