Business Finance Director Product Supply

We are seeking a passionate Business Finance Director to join our journey of becoming a profitable Biopharma company. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in the continued evolution of business partnering combining your financial skills with business insights. You will be in the front line of the interaction with the organization as a trusted partner for Product Supply & Quality and other functions.

You will be joining the Business Finance team consisting of 6 colleagues in Denmark and US, and report directly to Jacob Nielsen, Head of Business Finance, who is based in Hellerup, Denmark. You will be based in the Hellerup office.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Support senior management with financial analysis and recommendations.
• Continue to enhance the Forecasting approach under the Beyond Budgeting framework.
• Sales & Operational Planning – Support identifying issues and analysis S&OP scenarios to ensure we have the right balance of Supply and Demand.
• COGS improvements projects
• Involvement in financial aspects of partnership agreements

Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master’s degree of Finance or Economics – and 10+ years of Business Finance experience within the Pharmaceutical, Bioscience or similar industry.

Furthermore, you have:

• Strong Project Management and Stakeholder Management skills and with the ability to drive changes & impact key stakeholders at senior level.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial insight into actionable recommendations.
• Solid experience with financials for production and supply chain
• Strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Skillful with Financial Systems, PowerBI and generating robust analysis.

Travel: Around 10 days per year.
