Innovation Manager with flair for fundraising

We are seeking an Innovation Manager to join our R&D team in Odense. Quadsat technology combines drone technology with an RF payload, enabling precise diagnostics and measuring of the radio spectrum anywhere in the world.

Description & Expectations
Quadsat believes working with funded innovation projects is vital to our technology and growth. Therefore, we work with industry-leading partners on several innovation projects, primarily in Europe and the US. In this role, you would own innovation projects within Quadsat and facilitate a professional relationship with our partners, where Quadsat always delivers above expectations.

The Innovation Manager is expected to be proactive, take ownership, and create an overview to engage the team in solving the objectives. We seek a candidate who is experienced and excited about working with new technology and challenging the status quo. You will have to function well both independently and in a team.
You will report directly to the CTO and have a high degree of responsibility and flexibility in your work.

Responsibilities
As Innovation Manager, you will spearhead Innovation projects at Quadsat. This includes:

• Driving Quadsat’s participation in consortiums for Innovation projects and coordinating activities internally within Quadsat.
• Take a high degree of responsibility in working independently to drive and manage innovation projects.
• Ensure seamless project planning and execution, monitoring and controlling of projects.
• Lead all project reporting and make monthly reporting directly to the CFO to ensure transparency and strategic alignment.
• Design and implement a structured process for composing technical products and project documentation.
• Be responsible for leading the creation and presentation of grant proposals, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to secure projects.
• Elevate document quality by reviewing and revising documents to achieve desired standards.
• Proactively identify grant opportunities and potential innovation partners to advance our R&D roadmap and align with our company vision

Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate has project management and leadership experience through prior managerial roles or similar responsibilities overseeing and guiding projects.
You have a technical background and are adept at communicating complex technical information with many stakeholders.
Furthermore, you have:

• Experience managing innovation/technical projects such as EU funding programmes, programmes under the Innovation fund, or similar.
• Possess skills in stakeholder management - good at communicating with colleagues, a skilled relationship builder, and able to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape.
• Have a background and experience working in a high-tech company as well as a genuine interest in technology and the ability to acquire a technical understanding of a given field quickly.
• Be a high-performing role model within the project management and project leadership discipline.
• Be self-driven, well-structured, and able to solve complex problems in a timely manner without compromising on quality.
• Possess a high level of skills as a proposal writer with the ability to communicate complex technical information in an unambiguous manner.
• English is our company language, so we expect you to be fluent in English (oral and written).

Travel Demands

• Expected 20-30 travel days per year.
