We're now looking for an experienced Senior Full-stack Engineer with an emphasis on Front-end.

As a Senior Full-stack Engineer, your job will be to build and maintain critical components and features for the Worksome platform, enabling companies and workers to connect and get more work done - with less friction. You will be part of a cross functional team that delivers specific features that will drive the success of our customers by removing friction in the world of work. Teams at Worksome work within an agile framework, ensuring continuous improvement and delivery. In this role, you will be asked to lean more into the Front End of our platform.

About the job

• Work closely with the team leads, product managers and the rest of the engineering team to come up with ideal solutions to current challenges
• Develop new user-facing features and build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core software platform to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Work and expand on our internal Worksome Design System (WDS) to provide UI components for you and other teams to use
• Write tests for your code to ensure high quality throughout our codebase
• Take ownership of your code, following through from idea inception to deployment
• Provide code reviews for fellow developers
• Align direction of code and other engineering best practises with the team
• Work closely with the Lead Front-end and Lead Back-end Engineers in order to improve our tech stack and engineering practise

About you

• In-depth understanding of modern front-end web application architecture including component driven user interfaces and state management (Pinia, Redux, Apollo cache)
• Strong knowledge about working with UI components, building reusable code that can be shared across teams in a scalable manner
• Strong experience with VueJS
• Experience with Laravel or a similar PHP framework Knowledge about working with UI components, building reusable code that can be shared across teams in a scalable manner
• Comfortable working with, and prototyping in, classic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within a PHP templating engine (e.g. Blade)
• Strong experience working with testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end, using tools such as Jest, Pest and PHPUnit
• In-depth understanding of a backend in web-based apps including routing, OOP and SQL
• Experience working with and building APIs, ideally using GraphQL and REST
