You will be working with maintaining and developing business critical solutions around our security solutions which is a vital part of getting the bank to run.

Being part of Digital Front Door tribe means that you will be a part of the Tribe that opens the door in all our digital channels to all our personal customers.

So, all the things you will be involved in working on will have a direct impact on our Personal Customers either though the solution itself or though solution that is developed by the other Tribes that we improved though our/your development.

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Mainframe Engineer for our Security squad.

The security squad is primarily located Aarhus and there are currently 12 (10 of them is sitting in Aarhus) squad members. The squads are responsible for access management in all our online channels for personal customers.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority of the role.

You will
As a Mainframe engineer you will have a variety of tasks with different complexity, priority and size. The work spans the full stack from working with DB2 and data to building APIs and events.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Working with both online and batch processes, and you will have the opportunity to take a few steps outside mainframe e.g. supporting our migration of our old UX to a cloud-based solution. Language is PL/I, but some Cobol can be expected
• Having an important role in both operating current solutions as well as supporting our journey into future strategic solution
• Being a part of a tribe where we come together as both squad and Tribe to support each other to deliver and live the three cultural commitments in Danske Bank; Team up, Be open and Own it

About you
We are looking for a skilled and experienced mainframe engineer, who is not afraid to take on new opportunities. You will have the opportunity to work both individually and in a team with your committed colleagues.

We imagine that you are great match if you are:

• An experienced PL/I developer
• Prepared to take a few steps outside mainframe to help bridge the gap to our cloud solutions
• Interested in the “Why” and not just the “What”
• Seeing the value of having a defined set of development principles and architecture, but is also not afraid to point out where we can do better
• A good communicator and speak/write fluently in English. Danish language skills would be considered as a big bonus
• You have more years of experience working in the banking sector, especially in the Danish
• Able to build up domain knowledge and also interest in taking up more business-related work like requirements clarification, documentation of GDPR implementations etc.
• Advanced English skills

Your title in job contract will be IT Software Engineer (Mainframe specialist).
