As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Support Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day management of our Engineering team. Working closely with Operations and site management, you will ensure that output targets are achieved.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing Performance: Ensure optimum performance of manufacturing plants and equipment, minimizing breakdowns, and continuously improving factory efficiency.
- Setting Standards: Lead the establishment of engineering standards across the site by providing functional leadership and expertise on improvement activities, standards definition, and delivery.
- Team Management: Manage and lead the Support Engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing unit.
- Compliance: Implement and uphold industry standards, including BRC, GMP, and Major Retailer codes of practice, within the Engineering team.
- Cost Management: Strive for the least cost in achieving optimal performance, identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Engineering team, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should hold a technical education and possess the following:
- Engineering Expertise: Demonstrable experience in engineering, including strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with BRC, GMP, and Major Retailer codes of practice, with the ability to implement these into the Engineering team's operations.
- Team Management: Proven experience in managing an Engineering team in a production environment, preferably within the food or related industries. This includes strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team towards achieving common goals.
- Danish Collective Agreements: Familiarity with Danish collective agreement is a must and experience with the Industrial Agreement between Danish Industry and CO-industry will be an advantage.
