(Senior) Integration Engineer
Ørsted
Join us in this role where you’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technology within the field of a cloud-based workflow orchestration platform. You’ll be involved in the implementation and continued governance of Apache Airflow in an agile delivery organisation and engage closely with architects, IT security, product owners, and other subject matter experts. We cultivate a collaborative, dynamic and diverse work environment and encourage career-long learning and development so our people can realise their full potential.
Welcome to Integration & ALM Competence Centre
You’ll be part of PID IPL/Integration Team where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver value to the business across a global IT organisation. You’ll play a central role in the team by being responsible for platform implementation and migration of automation jobs from a centralised legacy platform to a more widely distributed setup in the agile delivery organisation. As a team, we collaborate with data engineers, developers, and integration colleagues. We offer flexibility yet value the opportunity of being onsite regularly to build team spirit.
You’ll play an important role in:
- supporting the migration activities from Control-M to Airflow, version 2.5.0
- developing Airflow as a platform to enable and support workflows for data and process automation across the company and automating as much as possible
- working with architects to democratise our Airflow platform for the benefits of other teams
- participating in the onboarding of other teams, helping them use Airflow and develop their own automation code, as well as engaging with the open source community around new functionalities, etc.
- migrating and modernising workflows from existing systems to Airflow
- setting up and investigating automated alerts as well as incidents reported by IT colleagues and the business to continuously improve operations.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have experience with Python or another high-level programming language, with experience with PowerShell being plus
- have experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- have experience with Airflow or similar automation and scheduling tools, such as Control-M
- have experience with CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment) tools.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
