Product Compliance Officer

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Product Compliance team, focusing on communication with authorities. If you're ready to take on the challenge, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

This is the job:

Every month, hundreds of new products make their way to Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores worldwide, spanning various categories such as toys, kitchenware, office supplies, personal care, home accessories, and electronics. Before these products hit the shelves, they undergo thorough evaluation and approval by our Product Compliance Officers.

As a key member of our Product Compliance Team your primary responsibilities will include:

• Communication with authorities e.g., customs or various product safety authorities across Europe
• Handle enquiries from authorities regarding all our product types
• Guide local partners as intermediaries in cases with their local authorities
• Answer authorities effectively and correctly
• Coordinating on a case-by-case basis with different departments within the company
• Classifying, assessing, and labeling products for EU markets e.g. food contact materials, office products etc.
• Maintaining test protocols
• Follow updates on EU regulation and determine new requirements for our products

This is you:

You have practical experience with product safety, quality or collaboration with authorities. You are used to reading and understanding regulations and standards and are familiar with the General Product Safety Regulation.

Furthermore, you are a strong communicator and fluent in English, both verbal and written. If you do not speak Danish fluently, you understand it on a level where you are able to participate in professional Danish network meetings.

While your educational background is less important, we value experience within written communication with authorities and product compliance higher. Any prior experience in the retail industry would be advantageous.

As a person, you thrive on acquiring new knowledge, tackling challenges head-on, and adapting to a fast-paced retail environment. Your ability to maintain composure, make informed decisions quickly, and collaborate effectively within a team are highly valued traits.
