Nilfisk is offering an exciting opportunity for a R&D Engineer to join our R&D Competence Center located in Hadsund. This center offers an international and innovative working environment, housing approximately 70 engineers. These dedicated professionals are responsible for Global Hardware/Software, exploring new technologies, and driving the development of professional high-pressure washers and vacuum cleaners for the future.

Make your mark on the mechanical product development in Nilfisk
This position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development and shape the future of cleaning technology.

As our new colleague, you will be given tasks within the mechanical product development, both on component and system-level from the initial technology study phase to finished products.

Nilfisk has exciting projects lined up to enhance our Light I-Vac & High Pressure Washer platforms. Your competences will be crucial in designing and verifying metal & plastic injection parts that enhance innovation, performance and robustness.

Your new team
You will be joining a primary mechanical product development team of 16 colleagues with overall technical product line responsibility incl. HW/ SW integration into Light Industrial Vacuum-cleaners & high-pressure washers targeted the professional market. You will be part of an ambitious and well-functioning team, where everyday life is characterized by high well-being and close collaboration to create the strongest product portfolio for the global market.

We value the experience you bring
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have experience within R&D-oriented mechanical engineering. Your expertise extend to product design in both metal and plastic materials (with a focus on injection molding), as well as a basic understanding of electromechanical systems.

We imagine that you are proficient in CAD (Creo) and have familiarity with FEM (Finite Element Method).

As you will be communicating with several international colleagues and distributors, we imagine that you speak and write English fluently.

We imagine that based on your experience; you possess a theoretical foundation complemented by practical experience – as this position will include both the theoretical part as well as hands-on prototyping and testing.

What happens with your application?
We will look at your application and contact you for a phone interview if relevant. Hereafter, if there is a mutual match, we will invite you to an interview with the hiring manager and potentially a colleague. The 2nd interview will be with an HR representative together with the manager where the focus is on a feedback session on a personality assessment and aptitude test. In some processes, we add a case instead of an aptitude test. The 3rd and final round of interviews will be an informal interview with the manager’s manager.
