Project Manager for Customer Innovation (Maternity Cover)

We experience a significant demand for our products, solutions, and services, and we have a strong focus on developing the most innovative and value-adding intelligent metering solutions and services for energy- and water consumption. As our number of digital solutions grows, so does the need to innovate together with our customers, which is why we are seeking maternity cover for our current Project Manager.

With direct reference to our Vice President, Digital Water Services, you will become part of a team of 5 engaged, ambitious, and competent colleagues who are working to expand and grow our digital software and services portfolio on a global scale. The team will enable this through three focus areas; a steady inflow of value-creating innovation opportunities together with our customers, working on the backlog of business opportunities available related to software and services, and enabling commercial success with software and services by supporting the sales division.

A job with a focus on the facilitation of innovation
As the maternity cover for this position, you will own and facilitate several innovation projects at a time. You will be responsible for presenting and selling our standard procedure for facilitation, running the facilitation all the way from ideation through to ideally an MVP or prototype. In these projects, you must always have a clear sight of the customer’s value chain and the value that this can bring both the customer and Kamstrup. You will work closely with cross-functional teams both internally in Sales, Technology, and Product Management, but most importantly with our potential and existing customers.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be:

• Driving 4-5 innovation projects at a time in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders
• Identifying customer needs and market opportunities within the digital software and services portfolio with the focus of creating an innovation pipeline of value-adding products and services
• Staying up to date with trends and best practices within project management, and emerging technologies that could impact your way of working with customer innovation

In the job, you can expect around 60 travel days per year, primarily in the Nordics.

Personality matters
We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager who is passionate about innovation, specifically, software and services. Your professional and educational background is not of importance. What is important is that you have experience in project management which has given you a broad toolbox to lead and facilitate projects, e.g. using design thinking or co-creation methods. You also have experience with innovation projects, proficiency in working closely with customers on value-creation, and conducting customer innovation using agile methods.

As a person, you act professionally in all interactions. You thrive in an outgoing role, you are excellent at building trustful and honest relations, and you are an efficient communicator when it comes to customers and stakeholders. Furthermore, you are analytical and driven by your desire to create change. You have a creative and proactive mindset, that enables you to identify and prioritize key value-creation levers and follow up on them. In addition, you are known to deliver on your agreements and your structured approach to tasks enables you to keep an overview in a busy work environment with several ongoing projects.

The job requires fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
