About your role
GlobalConnect is looking for a creative and motivated Sustainability Manager for our Group Sustainability team, who is curious and eager to engage with the organization across the Nordics, both virtually and in-person and collaborate closely with your close colleagues and the wider organization about improving the sustainability strategy particularly on decarbonization.

As Sustainability Manager, your responsibilities will include working in partnership with our management colleagues to direct the strategy for reducing carbon emissions, with a goal to fulfill our SBTi-affiliated reduction targets that are essential to our company's Sustainability Linked Loan Agreement.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the growth and expertise of our workforce by facilitating skill-building opportunities for our employees and conducting workshops to engage key stakeholders. Lastly, your role involves the regular preparation of status reports, including action plans, progress updates, timelines, and comprehensive assessments of risks and corresponding mitigation actions.

The role is part of the CEO Office with a direct report to our Head of Sustainability.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Experience with sustainability and carbon reduction projects.
• Preferably 3-5 years of program or project management experience, preferably from a top tier consultancy.
• Managed projects, including coordinating with many different teams, steering committee meetings, project plans and risk management from all levels in the organization.
• A degree on Master’s level, for example within Business, Sustainability, Economics or engineering and business proficiency in English.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality, bringing a positive and ambitious mindset into our team and your work.

Who we are looking for
Your unwavering and cooperative attitude plays a crucial role in meeting our sustainability goals and propelling our carbon reduction strategy forward as we approach the 2030 milestone. This includes being able to deliver on existing as well as defining and initiating new carbon reduction initiatives, including the development of company policies, establishing supplier requirements, and streamlining internal processes to minimize our carbon footprint.

You are comfortable with producing materials and presenting for the steering committee outlining the status of our carbon reduction strategy and the decisions necessary for its advancement.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

• You will serve as a project leader, collaborating closely with your team members focused on activating stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Manage different stakeholders and navigate in an international and complex organization.
• Communicate, collaborate, and network with various stakeholders, and build relationships internally and with external stakeholders such as suppliers.
• Arrange and assess information, as well as adhere to timelines, whether working solo or partnered with diverse stakeholder groups, to create an effective carbon reduction plan.
• You analyze the current situation, ideate with the business to scope, and prioritize initiatives that ensure GHG emission reductions for GlobalConnect.
