VIKING’s Digital Department comprises 45 dedicated colleagues, located in Denmark, Thailand, Bulgaria, Singapore, China and Norway, which we are now extending with a new IT Hub in Chennai, India. We are responsible for VIKING’s global IT environment, using SAP, Microsoft and Service Now as our major platforms.

We are looking for an experienced and professional SAP ABAP Developer who will be responsible for technical design, building, testing and maintenance of S/4HANA backend solutions.
As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will have direct report to our IT Hub manager, Chennai. Relocation to Chennai is necessery.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical design, development, documentation and unit testing of SAP enhancements and custom SAP developments related to tasks defined by our functional scrum teams
- Provide input into the design of SAP enhancements and custom developments, offering advice and thoughts providing feedback
- Develop quality code and its associated documentation adhering to team and departmental development standards
- Participate in defining and developing technical standards
- Assist in testing to validate and provide operating controls to ensure development requirements are satisfied
- Provide SAP support including analysis, debugging, development, testing, tracking and resolution
- Co-operate closely with other teams including but not limited to our functional scrum teams and IT Operations
- Participate in project and feature requests implementations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Demonstrate high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ensure current skills are up-to-date through research and practice
Qualifications preferred
- +5 years of experience as SAP ABAP Developer
- Bachelor’s degree
- +3 years of experience with ABAP development, preferably with emphasis on SAP FI, SD, MM
- +2 years of experience with developing SMART Forms
- +2 years of experience in HANA Studio Eclipse
- +1 years of experience within BTP
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
