Senior Software Engineer

Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a smaller Scrum team of like-minded developers, and you will participate in the process as a scrum team member. Additionally, you will facilitate or join software design sessions, where we decide and agree on how to implement a certain feature. You will be responsible for implementing, documenting and testing the solution and proactively seeking up any information that you may need to solve these tasks.

Your main tasks and deliveries will include:

• Architect and design our control software with your colleagues.
• Design, document and implement features in our PLC’s.
• Test and verify your software in a simulated as well as real world electrolyser system.
• Facilitate or participate in up-front software design discussions as well as design and code reviews.
• Participate in planning your work.
• Promote and implement best practices for software development.
• Assume a mentoring role in our team.

Who are you?
We are seeking a candidate with several years’ of experience developing high quality software for control systems in e.g. C, C++, C# or Structured Text. You have worked with complex software solutions with many interfaces and your experience enables you to act as the go-to guy for advice and sparring on software related matters. You have been involved in larger projects that require distributed networking and extensive data exchange and possibly HMI frontends with several other developers and domain experts.

You are a proficient git user and comfortable working in agile development and Jira. If you can communicate/document a software design in UML it is considered an advantage. Interest in the renewable energy sector is of course also beneficial.
