For Baumer https://www.baumer.com/ch/en founded in 1952, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Sales Nordics, being responsible for the Nordic region headquartered in Aarhus with colleagues mainly based in Denmark and Sweden.

The company, which employs more than 2.800 committed employees worldwide, develops and produces high advance products within object detection, distance measurements, machine vision, identification, encoders and process instrumentation.

You will be offered training in the company's products and solutions at the company's European headquarters as well as at the Nordic headquarter in Aarhus.

As the Head of Sales Nordics at Baumer, you will be responsible for leading and driving sales activities in the Nordic region. You will oversee a team of sales professionals, develop sales strategies, and foster relationships with key customers to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a sustainable business growth and customer platform in the region
  • Lead the sales team, customer service and support, marketing, and product market management in the Nordic region
  • Develop, expand and maintain customer cooperation and relations in the Nordic region
  • Hands-on customer responsibility by selected customers
  • Commercial negotiations of projects and contracts
  • Market intelligence and identifying new markets, business fields and applications
  • Close cooperation with global and regional sales teams within Baumer
  • Work and acting with corporate values to ensure a consistent global identification
  • Converting technical concepts, user requirements and specifications into offers and orders
  • Proactive securing a close cooperation with the rest of the organization

Required qualifications:

  • Probably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or similar technical background
  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience from technical sales and sales management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from industrial automation or related industries
  • Proven success in sales, sales management and business development
  • High commercial skills and mindset with a good idea of the Nordic market and customers
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, English, Danish and preferably Swedish
  • Ready and willing to travel minimum 60 – 80 days per year

Preferred qualifications:

  • Some experience in sensor technology and applications
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent analytical capabilities and conceptual skills
  • Customer oriented with a high degree of intercultural competences and understanding
  • Capable of developing and maintaining good relationship with customers, colleagues, corporate peers
  • Experience with project management with a structured approach and good organizational skills
  • Believe that the best results come with a PDCA (plan-do-check-act) approach and working in a structured way
