At the VELUX Group we want to give homeowners an exceptional customer experience across our regions and markets, and we want to support them from start to finish in realizing their dream roof window project. Joining our newly established and strategically important department, Global Consumer Services (GCS), you will join a dedicated, skilled and diverse team focusing on building, shaping and integrating our new global consumer service approach in the VELUX Group with the purpose of bringing us even closer to our customers.

For our development team in GCS , we are looking for a Senior Digital Product Owner. We are a bunch of customer-centric specialists committed to developing and optimizing the best-in-class digital customer experience for the homeowner segment.

Your challenges

As our Senior Digital Product Owner, you will join the newly established Digital Development Team in GCS where you will ensure that our digital products and services offer optimal value to our customers. You will identify user needs, collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage digital product development. You will handle both business and customer needs with a keen comprehension of technological aspects and user experience. You will be responsible for the digital product backlog, roadmap and oversee and manage the entire lifecycle across markets.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead the digital product development process to fulfill both business goals and consumer expectations
• Understand the different personas (Homeowner, Installers, Design Advisors) and scope unique digital user experiences together with relevant Global Consumer departments and markets.
• Monitor and assess the market needs to make sure we are continuously developing desirable digital products
• Analyze and act on key product data to be able to optimize the experience
• Propel the product discovery with a mix of quantitative and qualitative research techniques
• Create, prioritize and align development roadmap with relevant stakeholders
• Work in close collaboration with Service Designers/UX/UI to detail scope
• Write epics, user stories and tests cases for new development and product backlog items
• Ensure overall progress, high development velocity and facilitate daily stand-up with the development team
• Forsee and mitigate risks in the development process
• Support more junior PO’s with your extensive experience in digital product development
• Work closely with IT – e.g. backend, frontend, architects, QA

You will be located at our head office in Hørsholm and report directly to Director GCS Digital Development.

Your qualifications

You possess a great desire to create and deliver high quality, customer-centric digital products, and you have a comprehensive technical understanding related to digital products – maybe from having worked closely with backend and frontend developers in an agency or having a developer background yourself. You have a clear understanding of what needs to be in place before, during and after developing a digital product, and you tend to take a structured approach to your work, respecting deadlines and timely deliverables.

With your agile mindset and adaptable approach, you feel confident in a high pace environment navigating many moving pieces at a time and sometimes dealing with unknowns. Furthermore, you are a proficient communicator with natural skills of building working relationships which enables you to work across the organization and enhance cross-functional collaboration as well as providing clear briefings to the team.

Additionally, we expect that you:

• Bring several (8+) years of experience as Product Owner of digital products e.g. websites, customer portals, app’s etc.
• Have experience defining opportunities and solutions from a user-centric perspective based on product discovery, stakeholder input and general strategic guidance
• Have a relevant educational background, e.g. from ITU or similar with a digital/technical or user experience focus – this is not a prerequisite, if you have long and proven experience
• Have experience in DevOps or Jira
• Know how to prioritize backlog with stakeholders and are well versed in writing user stories
• Are curious and enjoy working analytically to improve the product
• Speak and write in English at a professional level

We are working with Miro and Figma on a daily basis, and build solutions in e.g. Sitecore, C# (C Sharp), C4C but experience in these is not a prerequisite.
