The Vice President of Global Analytics and Insights at the LEGO Group is a senior leadership role responsible for leading all Analytics and Insights teams across the group regionally and globally and driving towards a joint vision. On the functional side, this individual will be responsible for leveraging data and insights to drive business growth, optimize performance and inform strategic decision-making across the organization by step-changing the integration and data science into business. On the leadership side, this individual is an inspirational leader, responsible for rallying the global team around ONE shared agenda, minimizing overlaps, clear roles and responsibility, improve ways of working and truly unlock and develop required capabilities for the future of Analytics and Insights.

This role is responsible for 4 layers within A&I:

i) our regional Commercial Analytics & Insights team, one for each regional Market Group as well as LEGO Retail, our D2C organization – a business partnering model fully integrated into the regions, leveraging global teams whilst driving for regional insights,

ii) our global enablement organizations, that act as data owner, working closely with the Data Office and building models using the data bricks,

iii) our Global Commercial and Advanced Analytics area that uses sophisticated methods to cross-examine the data and answer global strategic questions.

ix) Data Compliance

Core Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• Lead a large and diverse team of functional experts, create a common vision and priorities.

• Create followship and buy-in with the global A&I organization on the vision and mission for this truly global organization

• Lead the transformation setting the global vision and culture in the newly established A&I Organization and championing for the use of data and insights in making key business decisions outside of A&I alone.

• Create a common approach to A&I across regions, embedding the support from global functions into the regional set up, with clear R&R and defined ways of working and collaborating.

• Lead the evolution of one global team of A&I expertise with the aspiration of inspiring career opportunities and infusing digital expertise to business.

• Unify and advance functional capability building programs to further elevate A&I talent development

• Inspirational leadership, showing the path for the future of A&I in a realistic yet ambitious pace.

Analytics:

• Elevate quality of commercial insights to provide insights both in retrospective as well as forward looking

• Create or consistently adopt across the world new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating stronger business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner.

• Effectively communicate on subject matter towards various stakeholder across the Company (including senior leadership as well as local A&I resources)

• Exploring future ways of working with an Advanced Analytic approach.

• Generate long term data insights informing long term Markets & Channels strategy choices

Data systems, governance and processes:

• Ensure reporting and analysis cadence and processes harmonizing regional commercial analytics. Drive alignment on global decision-making processes. Eliminate data and process silos and drive user adoption

• Standardize and elevate (including leveraging AI) analytical tools to build better & more timely insights while maximizing efficiency.

• Define the ways of working within Global Commercial Development and across Data office, the Global Insights team, BSO and other global teams – align the operating model and the service level agreement.

Do you have what it takes?

• Proven leadership track-record in driving transformational agenda whilst creating followership throughout the organization

• Experience in a global analytics or insights leadership role, including leadership of experienced A&I leaders

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as statistics, economics, computer science or business administration, with a master's degree or PhD preferred

• Experience in consumer goods companies or similar. Furthermore, experience in both B2B & D2C is preferable.

• Strong experience in data management and analytical analysis and driving towards insights.

• Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improve performance

• Experience in navigating change and driving and motivating teams through transformation

• Strong leadership, project management, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to lead and develop teams, experience with larger teams is a plus

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience building out Advanced Analytics strategy through conception and implementation is a plus

• Experience with augmented analytics to analyze large volumes of data quickly, reveal insights, and make predicting the likelihood of future events more nuanced and more accurate.

• Experience with building and testing predictive models within a sales organization

• Proactive, results-oriented, creative, and flexible thinker with a growth mindset

• Enjoys working in diverse and inclusive global environment across functions and geographies

• Ability and willingness to speak-up and to challenge the status quo

• Possesses a strong passion for analytics and telling stories from data

• Ability to translate and communicate complex A&I modeling into business context

• Experience from being and A&I Partner in a commercial B2B environment is a plus
