Senior Financial Controller

Oversee and optimize our financial operations
As a Senior Financial Controller, you will have a key role in overseeing and optimizing our financial operations as well as ensuring the highest quality in internal and external reporting.

You will be part of an organisation with a clear roadmap for the coming years that contains multiple interesting transformation projects. You will have the opportunity to participate throughout the execution and be part of the future finance set-up with interesting career opportunities.

The role offers various responsibilities that will be adapted to your profile. You will be a crucial sparring partner for your colleagues and will contribute across the department on different projects and topics, including some of the following tasks:

• Ensuring financial reporting in accordance with group principles and in compliance with Danish accounting requirements
• Participating in financial month-end closing and preparation of year-end reporting including consolidation of the Group
• Supporting the Group audit and local audits including preparation of documentation for the audits
• Perform financial controlling of the balance sheet across the Group
• Collaborate with the business controlling team and reporting and planning team in preparing the monthly management reports, focusing on the balance sheet and cash flow
• Prepare balance sheet and cash flow budgets for the Group during budget
• Further develop and enhance internal control processes

The work location will be at our headquarter in Esbjerg, Denmark, with the possibility to work from home from time to time. Visiting our sites around the world may also be a possibility.

An experienced Financial Controller with a positive mindset
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:

• A Master’s degree in Management Accounting and Auditing or a related field is preferred, however a Bachelor's degree or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Financial and Management Accounting) may also be relevant
• Experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a multinational environment will be an advantage
• Experience with internal and/or external auditing
• Thorough knowledge of methods and controlling principles
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Excel skills
• You are fluent in English
