Data Scientist for our Computer Vision area

Do you want to develop and train machine learning solutions for the automatization of construction processes, with the goal of minimizing waste through digitalization?

Your new role
Bringing data from offices to the construction site using 3D BIM models has long been part of our core expertise here at Dalux. Now, as one of the next steps in our effort to digitalize the construction industry, we are working to bring data from the construction site and back into the office using Computer Vision technologies.

As Data Scientist, you would work to develop machine learning models and experients for innovating and furthering our feature offerings in this area, using image and video data. Since this area is constantly developing and changing, the work is heavily characterized by an R&D approach, where reading scientific papers and trial and error is to be expected. As part of building the team and platform, your tasks will also include contributing to our machine learning infrastructure such as workflow orchestration and experiment tracking.

Your background
We believe you…

• Have a solid theoretical foundation from a degree in computer science, engineering, IT or similar.
• Have experience with Python and PyTorch from either your degree or a professional environment. Experience with OpenCV and C++ is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Are proactive, solution-oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

As the area is growing, we are looking for both new graduates and people with professional experience within Computer Vision – most important is your ambitious attitude towards your continuous learning and development.
