FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies are growing significantly as we are expanding capacity and capability over the coming years. To support the Manufacturing site in Hillerød, Denmark, on this exciting journey, we are looking for a talented and genkified person to become a part of the Drug Substance Manufacturing organization, as a Continuous Improvement Partner. This role will support the Leaders and alle the employees in their quest of developing the business towards operational excellence and working cross-functionally to boost and create a people focused improvement culture within the entire organisation.

Drug Substance Manufacturing
Drug Substance Manufacturing has more than 250 employees including three departments covering different steps throughout the value chain. It is divided into the upstream manufacturing, downstream manufacturing as well as manufacturing support. It is a 24/7/365 running operation with a high pace and the the common denominator of the departments is the acknowledgement and development of each employee.

The Position
As a Continuous Improvement Partner in Drug Substance Manufacturing, you will be part of a team of Improvement Partners who develops and sustains systems and tools that enables the organization to consistently increase the level of operational excellence in manufacturing. You will be working closely together with the Leaders and their teams with the purpose of creating a sustained culture of excellence where every employee can see improvements and contribute with their unique knowledge on a daily basis. You will be integrated in a leadership team and responsible for raising the level of lean leadership.

Next to working with continuous improvement and supporting the organization towards a better self-driven condition you will be executing projects, workshops etc. to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency in manufacturing. You will be part of creating and sustaining the strategy to gain tangible and measurable business results and supporting the leadership team in anchoring and executing the strategic initiatives in the organisation

The position interacts with personnel from departments across the company and requires a high level of collaborative – and stakeholder management skills.

Your primary tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and sustain CI systems and tools.
  • Coach on ideal behaviour that drives a proactive improvement culture.
  • Lead targeted improvement work and set examples for improvement work on daily basis.
  • Drive lean events and improvement workshops.
  • Train and educate leaders in lean leadership.
  • Train employees in lean tools and other relevant systems.
  • Support leadership team with annual must-win battles.
  • Develop & manage Strategy framework, KPIs, meeting templates and workshop formats.
  • Execute meetings and facilitate follow-up on sessions, monthly KPIs and quarterly strategy days.
  • Drive projects.
  • Support continuous improvement across DSM as a member of the DSM CI TEAM.
  • Represent the Drug Substance Organization in the company and create foundations for excellent collaborations with support functions.
  • Maintain and develop relevant visual metrics in Tableau.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following background and skill sets:

Professional qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (BA) or master’s degree (MSc) Physical, Chemical or Biological Science, Technical Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Good collaboration skills in a very dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Great analytical skills and ability to solve problems.

Personal qualifications

As a person you have a positive can-do attitude, and you are proactive with good organizational and problem-solving skills. You are organized and work efficiently and effectively. You are people oriented and communicate well with different personality types. You are self-motivating and capable of working with a high degree of independence. You take initiative and are comfortable with taking the lead and you are eager to learn and contribute to achieve results.
