Packaging Technician
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our energetic and innovative Global Packaging Team. In this role, you will support the Global Packaging Innovation and Strategy Director and expert Packaging Technologists with a broad range of packaging projects and activities, actively contributing to the running and efficient operation of the department.

The Role
As a Packaging Technician in CO-RO, working closely together with a wide range of stakeholders globally, you will:

• assist the Global Packaging Innovation and Strategy Director and Packaging Technologists in the delivery of their projects and initiatives, from concept to launch
• undertake a diverse array of general functional and administrative tasks, vital to the functioning of the department
• be responsible for the upkeep and management of the global packaging specification system and its digital interface
• develop, implement and update Global Packaging procedural documentation, within the corporate Quality Management System
• ensure the smooth running and efficient operation of the Packaging Laboratory
• actively support the corporate sustainability programme, helping to ensure that we meet our packaging targets and achieve our goals

Your Profile
Ideally, you will have a technical diploma and a minimum of two years in a technical role, with a packaging interface, within either a beverage or a food environment. Internship may be included. However, prior experience in packaging is not a prerequisite and we welcome applicants from various educational and professional backgrounds.

If you have a technical qualification and / or experience and are familiar with quality management systems and procedures and food safety, this will be considered an advantage. With that said, the most important aspect is that you come with the right mindset, have an interest in packaging and are eager to learn.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate has:

• good interpersonal skills – is an effective communicator
• self-confidence with the ability to inspire confidence in others
• strong collaborative capability and is a good team player
• solid organizational and personal effectiveness ability – including time management
• proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – experience of working with technical documentation and / packaging specification systems would be a real advantage
