Head of Energy Analysis

Join us in this role where you’ll ensure the delivery of energy analysis and project optimization of for all life phases of our onshore solar, wind, and storage portfolio while advancing both internal and industry understanding.
Welcome to Onshore Technical Analysis
You’ll be part of Energy Analysis where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate energy and resource inputs to the development, execution, and operational phases of renewable projects. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, continuous improvement of assessment methodologies, and the integration of the latest research and technologies to maintain our position at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. As a team, we focus on continuous improvement through learning opportunities and collaboration. We value the input from every member of the team.
You’ll play an important role in:
- leading a team of experts to deliver timely and accurate wind and solar resource assessments
- reviewing and approving all technical analyses and ensuring standardization of energy assessments across the organisation
- contributing to the leadership team in Technical Analysis in defining strategy, optimizing work processes, ensuring accountability, and creating an ideal workplace
- partnering with tax equity on late-stage project through financial close
- managing relationships with industry consultants and vendors
- ensuring the management of measurement devices across our portfolio to maximize project value.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, sciences, or relevant field
- have at least ten years of experience in renewables, wind, and solar experience
- have previous experience managing and training a remote team
- demonstrate a deep understanding of the methodology and processes used in wind and solar energy analysis
- have excellent communication and reporting skills
- are familiar with renewable energy modelling software packages, such as WindFarmer, PVSyst, Windographer, OpenWind, etc.
