The Director of Quality for Subsea Production Systems (SPS) is a strategic role responsible for leading our global quality assurance and quality control initiatives. This individual will drive the quality agenda across all levels of the organization, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of our products. The role demands a visionary leader who can embed a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the company.

As part of the senior leadership team in Subsea Production Systems, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership by developing and implementing a global quality assurance vision, strategy, and roadmap that is aligned with our’s objectives and values.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and learning across all functions and levels of the organization. Also, driving an organizational culture that is proactive at assessing risks to minimize occurrence of preventable non-conformances,
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, sales and supply chain teams to integrate quality principles in product design, development, and delivery processes.
  • Lead the business quality vision in a project manufacturing environment to develop best practices in an integrated project execution model across all business functions.
  • Lead efforts to obtain and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations for the business (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1, etc.)
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in quality management, including Six Sigma, Lean, and Total Quality Management (TQM) to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste across all operations.
  • Conduct global audits, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct data and financial analysis to help the organization prioritize initiatives and drive management decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, this includes establishing rigorous supplier qualification and audit processes to assess and monitor supplier performance and capability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and customer audits related to quality and product compliance.
  • Support customer and project specifications for review, feasibility, and compliance.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing global quality assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant subject – Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Business
  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
  • Experience from quality inspection, auditing and testing.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, API, Lean, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to the engineering and manufacturing sector (API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, NORSOK, PED)

Due to the nature of the role, this position is based in our Copenhagen office, but we welcome applications from candidates that are open to relocation.
