About your role
You will be an active and important team player in the newly established compliance team. We are looking for a Compliance Specialist with a strong GDPR knowledge and experience, situated in Copenhagen. You will work for an exciting multifaceted organization where your support, structure, and knowledge are of the highest importance in our journey to centralize the compliance program and Corporate Governance and support for the different business units, in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden.

The chosen candidate will help manage the legal risks across GDPR, governance framework and other applicable industry practices and regulations, depending on your interests and profile.

You will report to the Head of Group Compliance placed in Denmark, and you will closely collaborate with the compliance team, our legal department, finance, security, and HR teams spread across Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden. You will work closely in the Compliance team, as we help and use each other for sparring.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

• Develop, implement, and manage complex GDPR compliance programs and ensure that business procedures, tools, and templates are up to date.
• Support the business units in the preparation of GDPR risk assessments preparation of DPA’s and other measures in connection with third-country transfers, including TIAs.
• Handle data breaches, data subject rights and controls.
• Advising on various ad-hoc questions about compliance tasks.
• Organizing and conducting training and awareness campaigns around the organization’s GDPR policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A master’s degree in a relevant field of study including law, commercial law, finance, or specialized compliance education combined with a minimum of 3-5 years of post-graduate work experience either in-house with GDPR and compliance or as an external consultant.

• Proven experience from working with legal compliance and driving GDPR implementations in complex organisations as well as drafting policies, processes, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• High interest in GDPR and compliance, change management, and related requirements.
• Good communicative skills and the ability to translate complex legal language and knowledge in an easily comprehensible way to people with a different professional background.
• An analytical, accurate and structured approach to solving tasks on your own and with others.
• Fluency in English and Scandinavian language.
