Core Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and innovate on new play experiences
  • Work closely with Engineering and Model Design to deliver LEGO® parts from concept to production
  • Partner engagement that enables a smooth design process with our collaborators
  • Focus on innovation, LEGO System In Play and production demands
  • Share knowledge and experiences to colleagues and piers
  • Optimize and maintain internal processes
  • Be a role model for colleagues, piers and partners.

Our LEGO Design Organization consists of a dynamic, creative, and collaborative culture. No two projects are the same, and they all require different needs and expertise.

You will join a large international design team in Billund (Denmark), counting more than 500 creatives from various backgrounds, who are all passionate about the impact of play.

Element Design is the key department in the development of new LEGO bricks. We are passionate about refining ideas and designs into real bricks. The department brings key innovation, new bricks and parts to the full LEGO portfolio.

Do you have what it takes?

  • You probably hold a degree in Industrial Design, Engineering or similar. You bring advanced 3-D software skills as well as design experience with product design and from leading design processes. You know from experience that you thrive and contribute in a team setting. You enjoy collaborating in an iterative and cross functional environment. Moreover, you possess:
  • Good understanding of Injection Molding processes
  • Hand sketching, physical prototypes and modelling skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good analytic and system thinking skills

It is definitely an advantage if you bring an understanding of play from a child’s perspective.
