about the job
In this position, you will be performing essential testing procedures in well-equipped laboratories both internally and externally. In doing so, you will work to ensure the functionality and performance of equipment often used for critical mission purposes. Your main goal will be to perform various kinds of testing such as mechanical, electrical, thermal, and radiation testing to determine if the products are ready for the harsh exposure of space.

To achieve success in this position, you will be collaborating with skilled colleagues with different expertise to make sure that set up and execution of tests are done efficiently. Additionally, you will work to further increase the quality of both test procedures and the consistency and maturity of the process. In connection with this, you will be offered the chance to take ownership of your tasks and optimize processes as you become more and more familiar with the test environment at GomSpace.

Main tasks will include:
• Planning, executing, and documenting tests
• Mechanical, electrical, thermal, and radiation testing
• Environmental qualification of existing and new products
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient test set-up
• Determining functionalities and performance of high-tech products and components
• Improving test procedures and methodology

your profile
Most importantly, we are looking for a candidate who is experienced in the field of testing and is familiar with such an environment. We expect you to have a relevant technical background, but any exact education is not the determining factor.

Overall, your profile should reflect:
• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer or similar
• Experience with electronics and hardware
• Experience with data collection and analysis
• Experience with process optimization

Experience with the following will be further beneficial:
• Mechanical and structural tests
• Thermal tests
• Radiation tests
• EMC tests
• Knowledge of automation and development of SW based test procedures – e.g. scripts
