IFRS Specialist

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll make a significant contribution to ensuring correct IFRS reporting and support our business on complex and technical accounting in close corporation with many stakeholders.

Welcome to Group Finance
You’ll be part of Accounting Excellence where you, together with your colleagues, will have the overall responsibility for all aspects within the consolidated financial reporting. We’re a team of seven highly competent and dedicated employees. We support each other and prepare our deliverables together as a team, as knowledge sharing is key for us. We prioritise discussing accounting assessments regarding our many complex transactions and supporting each other daily. We frequently participate in training to continuously improve our professional competences. As a team, we’re diverse, and work with an open mindset. Having fun is a priority, and we have a relaxed, flexible working environment and work-life balance.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • offering IFRS and accounting advice to the financial controllers, FP&A and valuation teams on M&A transactions and other complex transactions
  • serving as an IFRS partner on our investment cases
  • preparing IFRS accounting memos and reporting
  • close dialogue and cooperation with our group auditors
  • participating in the preparation of the group interim financial reports, annual report, and accounting manual

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a master’s degree in accounting and auditing, e.g., cand.merc.aud or state-authorised public accountant
  • have experience as an accountant or financial controller in an international group
  • have theoretical and practical experience with IFRS, perhaps from working in a specialist department
  • are able to translate IFRS technical issues into understandable conclusions for management and your colleagues in various departments
  • are a strong analyst with a logical approach to problem solving, and are results-oriented and happy to assume responsibility for your tasks
  • are good at establishing relations and have good cross-organisational communication skills.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
