  • Defining the digital euro use-cases, inter alia, standards and requirements for frontend interactions in person-to-person, point-of-sale and eCommerce digital euro payments. This includes also offline specifications both for point-of-sale and person-to-person use cases.
  • Developing the digital euro rulebook, including the associated implementations specifications with a focus on frontend interactions in conjunction with the Rulebook Development Group.

The position offers you excellent opportunities to shape the future of central bank money available to all citizens and firms in the euro area and, in doing so, support the digitalisation of the euro area economy. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.

  • knowledge of current payments schemes and/or solutions;
  • functional/technical knowledge of the standards used for payments in the consumer to bank domain;
  • experience in developing an offline or partially offline retail payment solution.

You engage collaboratively with others. You pursue team goals and learn willingly from other people’s diverse perspectives. You signal any need for change by explaining it and proposing alternative solutions. You analyse complex information effectively and can evaluate different views to arrive at solutions. You know and anticipate stakeholder needs.

You are motivated to be part of our team and to develop and use your skills and competencies to achieve the aims of this position.
