We are looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our dynamic team, driving forward our commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation. The successful candidate will play pivotal role in shaping Marine & Ports sustainability strategies and initiatives, ensuring compliance with emissions regulations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our company. This position enables you to build your expertise in a long term with the support of our engineering teams. This position is located in one of the Marine & Ports locations.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with business lines across the division to develop and implement sustainable business practices, bringing together different options that align with ABB values and goals
• Contributing to improving sustainability performance in Marine & Ports and improving sustainability metrics
• Following energy directives and regulations; ensuring compliance and implementation of applicable regulations re environmental, material, sustainability, and carbon neutrality
• Supporting the implementation of ABB group-wide sustainability strategy and bringing together different options
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing around sustainability issues
• Leading internal training sessions about best practices to ensure a strong focus on sustainability matters throughout the division
• Participating in professional events and committees to track and interpret global regulations changes in the field
• Reporting on project objectives
• Building expertise within the area of sustainability

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Energy Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management or Natural Sciences
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with colleagues from various teams
• Proficiency in data analysis tools for tracking KPI metrics and preparing reports
• Passion for making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future
