Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, PSI Software & Tools, as part of Power System Integration Module.
Our team is committed to building and maintaining a robust software toolset essential for Vestas' digital journey. Our efforts are geared towards strengthening Vestas' software capabilities through the development of tools, streamlining workflows, and introducing new software products. By accelerating the adoption of digital power plant solutions, we contribute to Vestas' vision of global leadership in sustainable energy.
Collaboration is central to our approach, as we engage with various departments and maintain a global presence to support Vestas' worldwide operations. Our core values of agility, initiative, and a software-focused mindset shape our commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and enhance our current range of deliverables, including desktop applications, Web APIs, and productivity-enhancing scripts, to improve productivity, quality, and time to market
  • Perform software engineering tasks to optimize the performance and availability of our tools
  • Support and adopt our strategy for Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Continuous Integration (CI), Test Automation, and DevOps
  • Contribute to our API journey by decoupling backend and frontend solutions
  • Collaborate with other Software and IT departments within Vestas
  • Contribute to defining software development best practices and facilitate their adoption across our department

Qualifications
Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven professional experience in software engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing a service-oriented architecture
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure Pipelines (beneficial)
  • Proficiency in any of the following technologies is beneficial: .NET, C#, SQL database, MVVM pattern on WPF (desktop application), Web Technology (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular), Web API (ASP.NET Core/Flask), Python Script, GIT, Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Jira

Additional information
Our preferred work location for this role will be either Aarhus, Denmark or Porto, Portugal.
Up to 20 travel days per year.
