As Senior Manager in Circular Product Design, you will help the LEGO Group make its products with embedded electronics more sustainable and circular. You will be part of a team that sets the strategic direction for circular product design, and you will be responsible for developing internal standards on topics that bridge electronics and sustainability, while also leading individual strategic projects on the matter.

Core Responsibilities
To succeed in the role, you bring a mix of deep knowledge on electronics, sustainability, and circularity, and find yourself proficient in topics like batteries, RFIDs, sustainable materials, and circular systems thinking. In combination, you have a proven record of strong project management capabilities and very strong people and communications skills. You approach work analytically and outcome driven and understand that collaboration is always the best approach.

  • Lead strategic projects linked to circular product design in close collaboration with relevant partners across the company such as Operations, Product Designers and the Circular Business Models team
  • Investigate opportunities and provide recommendations for global electronic take-back scheme working closely with our Circular Business Models’ team
  • Develop internal positions and guidelines on sustainable and circular product design with a particular focus on electronics, e.g. batteries
  • Be the company’s go-to person for inquiries on electronics from a sustainability perspective

Do you have what it takes?

  • Science based background within environmental sustainability
  • Deep experience working with electronics and environmental sustainability. Previous experience with circular product design in a corporate environment is preferred. Strong Project Management and communications skills with an analytical approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven strategic approach with flair for simplifying complexities and seeing the bigger picture while paying attention to detail.
