Siemens Gamesa, a global leader in renewable energy, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to join our team at our plant in Aalborg, Denmark. As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation in green energy, we need individuals who are passionate about sustainability and possess the expertise to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

At Siemens Gamesa Plant Aalborg, our maintenance team plays a crucial role by ensuring a smooth operation of our equipment and facilities, maximizing uptime, and minimizing downtime while maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Role Overview:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating closely with our other leaders from various departments. Collaborating with the leadership team, you will be a part of driving the factory's success and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives. As maintenance manager, you will oversee our maintenance team and ensure the implementation of best practices to optimize the performance of our manufacturing equipment and facilities, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and HSE principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Join a leadership team of 14 individuals and work closely together to drive the overall success of the factory
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment and facilities while upholding HSE standards
  • Lead and manage a diverse maintenance team, including:
  • A maintenance workshop with 2 team leaders and approximately 40 technicians
  • A maintenance engineering team with 1 team leader and approximately 20 engineers
  • A central team consisting of approximately 10 specialists
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to all maintenance team members to ensure high levels of performance and productivity while adhering to HSE guidelines
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation with a focus on HSE requirements
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime or production delays, while considering HSE implications
  • Coordinate with production managers to schedule maintenance activities in a way that minimizes disruption to production schedules and maintains a safe working environment
  • Work closely with global technical departments to ensure proper introduction of new products and technologies into the plant, including equipment installation, commissioning, and training of maintenance staff, while ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and overall plant performance, with a specific focus on HSE metrics
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes, technologies, and systems while enhancing HSE performance

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

We are looking for candidates who hold a Marine Engineer or mechanical Engineer degree preferably in combination with a vocational background. You should also have 2 to 5 years of experience with maintenance management, preferably from a manufacturing environment.

We also expect you to have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices, with a commitment to prioritizing HSE principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve targets in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on HSE standards.
