Your Role:
As an Analytics Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our advanced analytics capabilities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll identify business requirements, develop impactful solutions, and implement algorithms to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Collaborating with experts in mathematical optimization, business specialists, and software developers, you'll pioneering state-of-the-art technology to optimize one of the world's largest container vessel networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tools in collaboration with Maersk's business to facilitate decision-making in network design and ocean product development.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, conceptualize solutions, design, test, and refine prototypes and production applications.
  • Collaborate with business experts to identify opportunities for creating additional value through enhanced tools.
  • Shape the vision for leveraging software to optimize Maersk business operations.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong technical background with a master's or PhD degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science, focusing on AI/machine learning or mathematical optimization/operations research.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in algorithms and optimization tools.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into mathematical and quantitative models, adhering to best software development practices.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for solving complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with development, debugging, test, and version control tools.
  • Experience in graph theory, database management (preferably MS SQL Server), systems programming languages such as C++, statistical and probability analysis, is a plus.
