Commissioning Test Engineer

Better Energy is looking for a Commissioning Test Engineer to make an impact that matters.

We are currently 500+ employees across 31 different nationalities and counting, and we are looking for Commissioning Specialist/Test Engineer to join our Grid and Commissioning team in Denmark.

You will join a strong team in which you will share responsibility for the development of large projects. The team right now consists of four people making an impact that matters every day. In addition to having a professional strong foundation.

How you will make a difference in Better Energy
Your main responsibility will be field and factory testing of HV equipment, cables, switch gears, relays, and transformers in various sizes.

Our commissioning team is working with PV park automation and controlling in general. Documentation of commissioning and test will be an important role in the job.

This includes working with:

• Inverters and data logger
• CSS stations
• Cables
• Breakers
• Instrument transformers
• Power transformers
• Relay protection
• Park controller
• Compliance test
• Scada test
• Documentation

To be successful in this job, you should be able to meet deadlines and take responsibility for the handover to asset management and operations and maintenance, making sure it happens fast and flawless, and at the same time, ensuring all documentation, tests and agreements are completed in collaboration with the rest of the team.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with the start-up and testing of electrical systems within both low and high voltage.

It is important that you:

• Have a relevant Bachelor’s degree or similar and minimum three years of experience from a similar position.
• Are capable of handling conflict and crisis situations
• Are a team player
• Have a driver’s license
• Fluent in Danish and English
• Have experience with solar PV inverters will be an advantage
• Have both knowledge of and experience in working with data communication
• Are comfortable working with external stakeholders
• Are ready for ad hoc tasks
• Previous work experience with SCADA would be an advantage

Some travelling activity can be expected in this role to some of Better Energy's other markets, but not on a regular basis.
