The Digital Engineering arm of Project Delivery & Engineering stands at the forefront of working towards a fossil-free future. We are dedicated to executing major global infrastructure projects, navigating a dynamic and challenging environment to guarantee safety, promptness, quality, and budget compliance.

Within our Digital Engineering division, we specialise in delivering and integrating digital solutions aimed at facilitating renewable energy production and ensuring dependable operations. As the primary provider of digital solutions within the Business Unit Offshore Wind, we oversee the entire value chain, from bid acquisition to asset construction and operation. Our focus lies on Operational Technology (OT) and IT, harnessing control and analytic modelling synergies to optimise engineering design through comprehensive data integration.

Cybersecurity remains paramount across our portfolio within BU Offshore Wind and other BA Wind business units, as we uphold the grand standards in this regard.

Presently, we seek a seasoned professional to assume the role of Head of Digital Integration, leading our digital Integration section within the esteemed Digital Engineering Leadership team.

Your profile
Your role / what will you do?
As the leader overseeing Digital Integration, you’re a catalyst for great potential and will oversee a range of individually managed teams including OT Integration, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics, all falling under the comprehensive scope of our Digital Product Portfolio.

In the Digital Engineering division, your job involves leading the Digital Integration Section. Your aim is to boost our organisational skills and maintain technical quality. You will oversee the whole process and manage the portfolio of wind farms.

Your primary focus at first lies in cultivating strong internal collaboration, and championing cross-functional teams to set up a cohesive and shared approach. Leveraging your leadership competencies, you'll work closely with managers under your purview and individual team contributors to instil a shared vision and collaborative ethos. Furthermore, you'll enhance partnerships with key stakeholders within Vattenfall IT and our BA, bolstering operational efficiency and product delivery through agile methodologies.

As a strategical and people-oriented leader, you bring extensive experience in digital product development and sustainable value creation to the table. Your conviction in unlocking deeper insights from data fuels your drive for digital transformation. With a strong command of English, you navigate both operational intricacies and strategic initiatives with confidence. Your adeptness in managing diverse stakeholders is pivotal, as the role plays a crucial part in driving digital integration across greenfield developments and ongoing brownfield operations alike.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a current Team of 3 managers and 30+ Full-Time Employed individuals.
  • Ensure sound collaboration with Vattenfall IT and our Business Area Digitalisation Team.
  • Nourish product thinking in the organization, and support teams in agile ways of working
  • Manage and Develop capabilities in Digital Integration to stay competitive, relevant and efficient.
  • Actively promote the technical authority to provide a value driven business focus
  • Apply a feasible and disruptive innovative arena, balancing risk and opportunities in order to enable the business strategy
  • Manage budgets and costs within the area.
  • You may need to travel because the team works across five locations in Northern Europe.
  • Applying superior Stakeholder management skills,
  • Being a strong advocate for the Engineering Backbone operating model,
  • Ensuring a consistent, solution-based approach.

Your profile / who are you?

As our Head Of Digital Integration, you will bring:

  • Ability to build strong relationships to influence the agenda also without formal authority.
  • You have an engineering university degree (M.Sc. or PhD) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience including experience in leadership.
  • Experienced in Leading Leaders is beneficial.
  • You command English in both verbal and written form.
  • You possess a positive mindset and see opportunities with a “glass half full” approach to your work.
  • You are highly motivated and communicative with enthusiasm and can be a role model for our technical specialist.
  • Thriving leadership in turbulent times
  • Business understanding and a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to work in large and detailed organizations.

Next to this, you bring:

  • Strong understanding of the value of Data and digital solutions
  • Strong Understanding of Data Pipeline, maintenance and establishment, including knowledge of one or more products to support data acquisition from distributed field operations.
  • Good understanding of SCADA Logic and User Interfaces.
  • Experience with portfolio management tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Transformation, OT technologies and IT/OT convergence, including sensors, networks, and data analytics.
