Civil & Process Engineering is a dynamic team of experts in the Energy department, dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions. Our project portfolio includes water infrastructure such as pumping stations, reservoirs, water and wastewater facilities, and climate change adaptations; and energy infrastructure like waste to energy, bio energy, carbon capture, and power-to-x. We experience a strong growth in both areas and are looking to strengthen our expertise with skilled professionals that value high technical standards and quality in their work.

As a Senior Structural Engineer/Specialist, you’ll be an integral part of our design team. Your expertise plays a central role in planning and constructing water and energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis using advanced software and methodologies to evaluate the integrity of designs.
• Design structural components for water and energy infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation, including design calculations, technical specification, and tender documentation.
• Supervise drawing production and ensure compliance with structural design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and construction managers, to integrate structural design with overall project plans.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to develop their technical skills and professional growth.
• Participate in site investigations and analyze field data to inform design decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest development in civil and structural engineering (e.g. by participating in conferences and/or standardization committees).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on water and/or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design of concrete structures.
• Experience with in-situ concrete design and construction.
• Proficient in the use of structural analysis and design software (e.g., Robot, FEM-Design, SOFiSTiK, or similar).
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
